Leaf insulin can also be used to make compresses to apply to the skin in cases of rheumatism, abscesses, muscle inflammation or boils. To do this, crush 1 or 2 fresh leaves with a pestle, apply to the skin in the affected area and cover with a clean compress.
However, it is important to note that the insulin leaf has no relation to the insulin produced by the body or found in diabetes medications. The results of leaf insulin in humans have not yet been proven.
